Spatialist Art in Interior Design for Luxury Hotels
The lobby of a luxury hotel requires a defined architectural identity. Two dimensional artworks often fail to interact with the monumental volumes of premium reception spaces. My work as a spatialist artist, Alessandro Butera, is based on sculpture and extroflections to create abstract art capable of interacting actively with the surrounding environment. The creation of three dimensional monochromatic modules alters the visual perception of flat walls. By manipulating the material and the canvas, these artworks capture the natural and artificial light of the room. This process generates deep shadows that vary throughout the day, transforming a static marble or concrete surface into a dynamic architectural element. The featured diptych installation demonstrates how calculated geometric placement and precise organic curves can define a minimalist space without compromising its purity. This technical and visual approach is designed to attract the best architecture and interior design studios dealing with the furnishing of luxury hotels, important villas, and exclusive designs. The integration of a custom spatialist artwork adds a sculptural and structural value to the interior design project. Each piece is engineered and calculated to meet the exact volumetric requirements of the target environment. Direct and technical collaboration with designers ensures that the artwork is perfectly proportionate to the dimensions of the lobby and strictly consistent with the materials and lighting design chosen for the building.
